syren Back to the door

Privacy

Your interior life is not content.

Syren is built for intimate conversation. That means privacy cannot be decorative. It has to be structural.

Effective March 31, 2026 · Prelaunch draft for waitlist and launch architecture

Important: Syren is still prelaunch. This page covers the adult-only waitlist that is live now and the privacy commitments intended for the companion experience at launch. If those practices change, this policy will change too before launch.

Who this covers

This policy applies to syrenapp.ai, the Syren waitlist, and the Syren product experience once it launches. Syren is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect or keep data from anyone under 18.

What we collect

  • Waitlist details: your email address, age confirmation, submission time, IP address, and basic browser information.
  • Account details: login credentials, billing metadata, device information, and support messages if you become a user.
  • Voice and conversation data: recordings, transcripts, prompts, replies, and memory entries created so Syren can respond with continuity and context.
  • Boundary and safety signals: your stated boundaries, preferences, consent settings, moderation events, and risk-monitoring signals used to keep the experience safe.

Why we collect it

  • To operate the waitlist, send launch updates, and prevent spam or abuse.
  • To power voice-first conversations, memory continuity, and account-specific personalization.
  • To monitor consent, enforce boundaries, and investigate behavior that could put a user at risk.
  • To maintain security, diagnose failures, comply with law, and improve the product's safety architecture.

Our privacy commitments for intimate data

Syren is not a public feed, a social network, or a place where your private conversations become entertainment. We do not sell your conversation data. We do not rent it. We do not broker it to advertisers.

For launch, Syren is intended to store voice recordings, derived transcripts, and memory context only as needed to deliver continuity, safety monitoring, and the specific experience you asked for. Conversation data is intended to be encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest. Boundary memories are intended to remain locked to the account context that created them, so they are not surfaced to other users, other personas, or ad systems. The product is intended not to publish or broadcast what you say to other users.

Where infrastructure providers help us host, secure, or process the service, they may process data only under contract and only to provide that service to us.

When people at Aurandel may access data

We aim to keep access narrow. Authorized personnel may access limited information when it is necessary to provide support you requested, investigate abuse, respond to a security incident, or comply with legal obligations. Access should be permissioned, logged, and limited to the smallest scope needed.

Retention and deletion

Waitlist entries are retained until launch, removal, or a legitimate business need ends. Product data, including voice recordings, transcripts, and memories, will be retained only for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain continuity, meet legal obligations, or honor your chosen settings.

Backups may continue to exist for a limited period after deletion, but they should age out through routine retention policies rather than remain indefinitely.

Your choices

  • You can leave the waitlist at any time by following the unsubscribe link in launch emails or contacting us directly.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of data associated with your account, subject to security verification and legal requirements.
  • You can choose whether to keep using voice features if text options are available in future versions of the product.

Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests, or safety concerns can be sent to [email protected]. If you are contacting us before product launch, include the email address you used on the waitlist so we can find your record.
